From the Executive Board’s townhalls, lectures and job interviews to team meetings and examination supervision: Zoom has proven its worth in almost all academic situations.
WeiterlesenTwo months after the shutdown of ETH Zurich, web conferencing in general and zoom in particular have become an integral part of the everyday life of ETH staff and students. And with the intensive use comes a routine that can be observed not only in the meetings themselves: digital backgrounds from all over the world replace the view into the rooms of the participants. Less and less time of a meeting is devoted to solving technical problems. Nevertheless, there are some points that can still be identified as disruptive factors.
WeiterlesenOn 16 March 2020, ETH Zurich was switched over to emergency operation. The school was extensively closed to students, lecturers, researchers and staff. As a result, all lectures were switched to remote teaching in no time at all, a great challenge for all those involved. ITS Multimedia Services (ITS-MMS) has made its contribution to mastering this challenge.
