SNF / ETH Zurich data interface
Applications of ETH members approved by the Swiss National Science Foundation (SNF) used to be accessed manually and entered into the ETH SAP system (fund management) by Copy & Paste.
After introduction of the data portal mySNF.ch by the Swiss National Science Foundation, it became possible to view data and documents pertaining to grants online and to incorporate them into the fund management of the ETH Zurich SAP system manually.
Project start with “mySNF @ ETHZ”
In 2011 the project “mySNF @ ETHZ” and as a further development, the project “Grants Management”, was launched at ETH Zurich. 1,630 grants were processed in 2013 at ETH Zurich and 204 new SNF funds opened. To simplify matters, the steering committee decided in June 2012 to implement automated data and document transfer and the sub-project “SNF / ETHZ data interface” was created.
