At the beginning of August the second version of the ETH Library DOI Registration Tool was deployed and is currently in production.

VPP-Prepaid-Konto neu auch mit Kreditkarten aufzuladen
VPP prepaid accounts can now be charged with credit cards
The prepaid accounts used for the ETH printing service (VPP) can now be charged with credit cards (Visa, MasterCard and American Express).
Silva ETH Layout Updated
We recently updated the ETH Silva layout (0.9.21).
Highlights:
- ETH WebCD layout version 1.1.8 which among other fixes corrects a bug occurring with IE7 where only the first page of large documents was printed.
- new search icon (see screenshot)
- image top element: allows the placement of box images at the top (see the ID homepage as an example)
- RSS feed reader: users can now choose to show the textual description or HTML formatted content (if available)
Passwords
The IT services of the ETH recently opted for new password policies for all the services managed by the nethz admin tool to enforce good and strong passwords and prevent security breaches.
