GMIS Key Management
The Infrastructure Divisions started a fresh attempt in 2010 to finally replace the outdated VisualKey application with new software for key management.
Following a Planon update of its standard software and the migration to a new Java client, the GMIS subproject “key management” was tackled anew under the leadership of Infrastructure Divisions. Extensions offered by the software vendor (user extensions and advanced functions) were an additional factor in the successful design of tailor-made software.
Project Completion
After extensive testing in mid-May 2013 the project team has now handed over responsibility for key management functionality. Widespread productive use is planned within the following 4-5 months. This will finally permit the necessary improvements in mechanical key management.
