Turn off before you take off
Easter is here once again meaning holidays are at hand.
Not all IT-people enjoy of the holidays for relaxation. Instead of searching for Easter eggs many take the opportunity to search for weaknesses in computer systems.
Such people are aware that many IT-professionals might be doing something else besides watching over their systems and take advantage of absent or hard to reach system managers.
Therefore our request: Please turn off all systems which do not need to be connected to the network during extended absences (such as clients, test-systems, etc.). You will also be contributing to helping the environment by saving energy.
