Eigene E-Books auf dem iPad
Und es geht doch! Ich hatte nach meinen ersten Tests den Eindruck, dass sich keine eigenen, also nicht im Apple Bookstore gekauften oder kostenlos bezogenen, E-Books auf das iPad und in die Applikation iBooks laden liessen. Nun hat sich aber herausgestellt, dass es tatsächlich einen ganz offiziellen Weg gibt, um eigene E-Books im Format EPUB in die Applikation iBooks zu laden und auf dem iPad zu lesen. Der Weg führt über die Synchronisierung mit iTunes: ein EPUB kann über das Menü “Datei zur Mediathek hinzufügen” auf iTunes kopiert werden. Dort erscheint ein neuer Folder “Bücher”, in den die E-Books abgelegt werden.

Anschliessend wird das iPad mit iTunes synchronisiert – und die eigenen E-Books lassen sich farbig auf dem Device darstellen. Die eigenen Texte erstrahlen auf der iBooks-Oberfläche in neuem Glanz.

Ich habe meine entsprechenden Blog-Beiträge zum iPad jetzt nachträglich korrigiert. Das iPad ist also weniger verschlossen gegenüber fremden (oder eben eigenen) Inhalten, als ich zunächst den Eindruck hatte. gekaufte E-Books im EPUB-Format!
Ich habe ein solches Buch in einem Boch-Stor erworben und auf meine PC heruntergeladen (Windows7)
Dieses Buch hat jedoch DRM und mein I Pad kann dieses Sperre nicht deaktivieren, oder so!
Gibt es jemanden der mit einen nützlichen Tip geben kann!

Vielen Dank für die Anleitung. Ich dachte schon all meine bereits erworbenen eBooks kann man nicht auf dem iPad lesen. Verwundert hätte es mich allerdings nicht wirklich, Apple hat da manchmal ihre eigenen Vorstellungen 🙁

Als Autorin ingeressiert mich das Thema brennend. Mein erstes Buch ist vergriffen, und ich würde gern bei Veröffentlichung des neues Buches (Schöffling, Frühjahr 2011) den Erstling in meine Page, die’s dann geben wird, implementieren. Beziehbar über Apple Bookstore. Wie wandle ich den Text überhaupt und wie krieg ich ihn mit Cover in den Bookstore? Es ist ein Interessenfeld, das einige Schweizer Autoren umtreibt. Für vergriffene Bücher ist das moementan schlicht der Hammer als Option und für neue – über kurz oder lang ein Must.
Gibt es hierzu mittlerweilen weitere Optionen?
Auf jeden Fall vielen Dank für die Anleitung, hat mir als iPad Neuling sehr geholfen.

Das Buch bring ich auf das IPad aber das Format kann nicht gelesen werden!! Wie kann ich dies beheben? Danke

ich müsste etwas mehr Informationen haben, um eine Lösung vorzuschlagen. Ich rate aber einmal: hast Du Bluefire Reader installiert? Ja? Dann muss diese App auf Deine Adobe ID registriert werden. Am besten legst Du Dir am PC (via die kostenlose Software Adobe Digital Editions) eine ID bei Adobe an. Dann registrierst Du den Bluefire Reader mit dieser ID. Wenn es sich ein DRM-geschütztese EPUB-Dokument handelt, sollte es nun klappen.

Habe gestern bei Thalia ebooks gekauft und runtergeladen. Habe seit kurzem das ipad 2. Nun habe ich folgendes Problem: Trotz bluefire reader und Adobe ID kann ich das Dokument nicht öffnen. Habe auch versucht, das ebook via itunes mediathek zu laden. Zwar erscheint die Kategorie Bücher, aber öffnen kann ich es in ibooks trotzdem nicht. Was kann ich noch tun? LG

Ich kann mir so aus der Ferne nur vorstellen, dass die App Bluefire Reader noch nicht auf die Adobe ID registriert ist. In iBooks funktioniert es sicher nicht, aber die Apps txtr und Bluefire Reader sollten ein EPUB mit DRM von Adobe darstellen können – nach der Registrierung.
